  • Application coming Feb. 1, 2020!

Crown Preschool offers a 4-hour Summer Enrichment Program each year that runs from mid-June to mid-July, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.  Also known as Extended School Year (ESY), the program offers exciting, age-appropriate activities for our preschool students including arts and crafts, story time, imaginative play, music and movement, learning centers, and outside time for games and fun.  The specific areas of learning and development the children receive through these activities include:

Self and social development:  Recognition of own skills and accomplishments, impulse control, taking turns, relationships with adults, cooperative play with peers, and socio-dramatic play.

Literacy and language development:  Expression of self through language, letter and word knowledge, comprehension of meaning, and interest in literacy.

Cognitive development:  Memory & knowledge, curiosity & initiative, and problem solving.

Mathematical development:  Number sense of quantity and counting, measurement, shapes, and patterning.

Physical development:  Gross motor movement, balance, and fine motor skills.

*Registration forms for the summer enrichment program are available at the Early Childhood Development Center's front office and online, starting in February.  If there is enough interest, an extended care option, until 3pm, will become available (please inquire when submitting enrollment paperwork).
